Each year the Associated Builders and Contractors of the Metro Washington and Virginia Chapters recognize and celebrate the region’s most outstanding projects, built by area General Contractors. This year, Costello Construction received two awards in the Institutional ($10-$30 Million) and Commercial ($20-$40 Million) Categories for the Silver Spring Civic Building at Veterans Plaza and the FDA Northeast Parking Garage, respectively. The Silver Spring Civic Building is an iconic, three-story, multi-use facility, designed by Boston based Machado and Silvetti Associates and built for Montgomery County. The FDA Northeast Parking is an attractive, six level, 1,100 space parking facility built for the GSA at its White Oak campus within a remarkable 12 month period.
On September 15th, Costello Construction celebrated the award occasion with fellow members of the design and construction team at the 30th Annual ABC Metro Awards Ceremony in McLean, VA. Both projects are now eligible to receive awards through the National ABC organization.
