Project Description:

The Research 1 project consisted of a four story building featuring high-tech University offices, meeting rooms equipped for teleconferencing, a retractable observatory dome atop a zinc-clad conical tower and a green roof system. The structure is composed of composite concrete floor slabs and a steel frame. The exterior consists of brick veneer, aluminum curtain walls, storefronts and architectural metal wall panels. The project included extensive site work, infrastructure improvements, road construction and site mechanical work – all self performed by Costello Construction.
