Project Description
Located in Silver Spring, Progress Place includes a walk-in medical center, educational services with computers, kitchen and dining facilities, fitness and recreation rooms and 24 housing units for low-income population. There are also administrative offices, conference rooms, lounges and support facilities for caregivers, employees and volunteers.
Progress Place was developed and built for Washington Property Company was turned over to Montgomery County upon completion. It provides essential services for displaced men and women including shelter, training facilities and a central kitchen.
The project’s LEED Silver features include energy efficient HVAC and lighting systems. Costello Construction self-performed excavation and site work, structural and cast-in-place concrete, curbs, gutters and sidewalks.
