Located in Columbia, Maryland, this $25 million renovation project for IMH Columbia transformed an existing hotel property into a distinctive 220,000-square-foot, four-star Autograph Collection destination, including 202,600 GSF of building area, a 12,220 GSF entrance plaza, and a 5,210 SF terrace. The comprehensive renovation included the construction of two new structural wings, adding 76 uniquely appointed guest rooms, as well as a full interior remodel of the existing tower rooms.

Key enhancements include a new 150-seat restaurant, a bar and lounge featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, and a see-through fireplace framed by a custom brick surround. A new full-service café and six-foot-wide private terraces on all lakefront units further elevate the guest experience with comfort and scenic views.

The renovation also introduced a rooftop pool and lounge area, an expanded lakefront terrace, additional meeting space, and a reimagined front entry, significantly improving both functionality and first impressions.

Together, the newly added wings and the extensive interior transformation redefined the hotel into a premium, lifestyle-oriented property, now proudly operating under the Autograph Collection brand by Marriott.
