The Somerset Hall addition and renovation was a complicated combination of a 50,000 square foot addition that encompassed three of the four sides of the existing Somerset Hall, then a complete renovation of the existing facility. The new portion of the project included a full service work out area, training rooms and competition gymnasium which was home to the NCAA Division III athletic teams.

The new portion of the project also included a natatorium wing with concrete bleachers and a 50 meter competition swimming pool. Once the new portion of the project was complete, renovations to reconstruct the facility ensued, including the complete refurbishment of the existing 50 yard swimming pool which was converted to a training facility.

The project included the complete replacement of the mechanical and electrical systems. The replacement of these systems required extensive coordination with existing campus wide utilities. Costello Construction completed all site and concrete work with its own forces.
